Our HR department has spent the past few years transforming, focusing on strong relationships, superior customer service, and a culture of continuous improvement. As our HR Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in partnering with academic schools and departments to offer expert advice on a wide range of employee-related matters. From labor relations to talent development, your work will directly impact the growth of our people and organization.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Be the go-to HR partner for academic schools and departments, advising on daily HR functions and ensuring smooth operations.
- Lead efforts in:

- Labour Relations: Navigate union dynamics and foster positive working environments.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Help us attract and onboard the best talent.
- Performance Management: Drive success through effective coaching and performance management strategies.
- Employee Development: Support continuous learning and growth for our staff.
- Compensation & Benefits: Guide fair compensation decisions.
- Process Improvement & Workplace Planning: Innovate and improve processes that set us up for long-term success.
- Strategic Support: Play a key role in supporting broader HR strategy initiatives.

**Job Requirements**
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (CPHR designation is a bonus)
- 2-3 years of HR generalist experience (public sector experience or work in unionized environments are a plus)
- A customer-service mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate change with confidence and creativity.

This is a Full-time Continuing Administrative appointment on the Vermilion campus commencing as soon as possible. Lakeland College offers an attractive pension, remuneration, and benefit package.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
