Our HR department has spent the past few years transforming, focusing on strong relationships, superior customer service, and a culture of continuous improvement. As our HR Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in partnering with academic schools and departments to offer expert advice on a wide range of employee-related matters. From labor relations to talent development, your work will directly impact the growth of our people and organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Be the go-to HR partner for academic schools and departments, advising on daily HR functions and ensuring smooth operations.
- Lead efforts in:

- ** Labour** Relations**: Navigate union dynamics and foster positive working environments.
- ** Recruitment & Onboarding**: Help us attract and onboard the best talent.
- ** Performance Management**: Drive success through effective coaching and performance management strategies.
- ** Employee Development**: Support continuous learning and growth for our staff.
- ** Compensation & Benefits**: Guide fair compensation decisions.
- ** Process Improvement & Workplace Planning**: Innovate and improve processes that set us up for long-term success.
- ** Strategic Support**: Play a key role in supporting broader HR strategy initiatives.

**Job Requirements**:

- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (CPHR designation is a bonus)
- 2-3 years of HR generalist experience (public sector experience or work in unionized environments are a plus)
- A customer-service mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate change with confidence and creativity.
