**POSITION: Youth Job Connect Facilitator / Employment Consultant**

LOCATION: 900 Montreal Street, Kingston, Ontario (in-person position)

STATUS: 12 Months contract

SALARY: $44,761

**RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES**:

- Help clients become job-ready in a timely manner
- Help clients overcome barriers to finding jobs and retaining jobs
- Facilitate individual and group employment preparation workshops, including job search techniques, career decision-making/planning, and employment maintenance skills
- Monitor clients on a regular basis throughout the case management process
- Provide information and referrals to community supports to address basic needs promoting employment readiness, including financial, housing, legal, food, addiction, etc.
- Refer for specialized assessment (ie. Psycho-educational, credential evaluation, language) and services, when appropriate (immigrant, disability, youth and women at risk, substance abuse, etc.)
- Provide regular follow up and support to clients following employment attachment, to ensure employment maintenance and success
- Maintain client, service and statistical data relating to the case management process as required by the funders, and forwards monthly submissions to the Manager
- Achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual placement goals, as prescribed and according to ReStart’s contractual obligations
- Promote employment services within local community
- Foster business relationships for employment opportunities for clients
- Monitor client progress through regular contact with employers, service providers, and training facilities
- Provide temporary replacement and relief coverage, when required
- Liaise with various levels of government and external agencies

**Qualifications**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A diploma in a related field or combination of education and relevant work experience
- Experience in employment counselling, case management, or group facilitation
- Demonstrated understanding of the local labour market trends and challenges
- Experience working with individuals from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and/or working with youth
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, databases and internet - experience with CAMs is an asset
