The Office of Member of Parliament Arielle Kayabaga is seeking an experienced office management professional with an interest in supporting their community. This role is integral to ensuring effective representation and support for constituents by managing the day-to-day operations of the constituency office and assisting individuals with their concerns and inquiries.
- **Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to**:_

**Constituent Support**
- Serve as the primary point of contact for constituents seeking assistance with government services, programs, and benefits that are not related to immigration.
- Listen to constituents’ concerns, assess their needs, and provide guidance and support in navigating government processes.
- Liaise with government agencies, departments, and community organizations to address constituents’ issues and advocate on their behalf.

**Office Management**
- Oversee the operations of the constituency office, including scheduling, communications, and setting up local engagements for the MP.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, and outreach activities in the constituency.
- Ensure the constituency is functioning in a way that aligns with the team’s overall priorities.
- Submitting financial claims and overseeing supplier payment and reimbursement
- Book Member’s travel

**Research and Analysis**
- Conduct research on policy issues, legislative proposals, and community concerns to help the MP understand the issues that constituents are communicating most about.
- Analyze trends and patterns in constituent inquiries to identify systemic issues and opportunities for advocacy or intervention.
- Prepare briefing notes, reports, and presentations for the MP on relevant topics and constituency matters.

**Community/Stakeholder Engagement**
- Build and maintain relationships with community groups, organizations, and leaders to stay informed about local issues and priorities.
- Represent the MP at community events, forums, and meetings to gather feedback and promote the MP’s initiatives
- Plan events and meetings within the constituency
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community organizations, businesses, and advocacy groups.
- Develop strong relationships with staff members from other MP and Ministerial offices.
- Collaborate with other parliamentary offices and government agencies to coordinate efforts and maximize impact.
- **Qualifications**_

This role is ideal for a highly motivated, empathetic, and organized individual with a background in public service or community engagement, looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact in their community by supporting a Member of Parliament and their constituents.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

- Experience in office management or administrative roles, with a strong understanding of scheduling, communications, and event coordination.
- Proven experience in customer service or public relations, demonstrating the ability to effectively listen to and address individual concerns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of empathetically interacting with constituents from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong networking skills, with experience building and maintaining relationships with community groups, organizations, and leaders.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field would be considered an asset
