Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Director, Talent Acquisition & Diversity and Inclusion, the Manager, Leadership Talent Acquisition will design and implement the framework to guide an effective leadership talent acquisition strategy across the organization in close collaboration with the hiring managers, as well as proactively gathering and sharing talent acquisition insights with the business.

The Manager, Talent Acquisition will play a leading role in the success of the organization’s recruitment efforts and the creation of leadership employees across the organization, and is a collaborator on leadership initiatives.

In this role you will:

- Lead, motivate and develop teams of Talent Acquisition Partners and hiring managers.
- Develop, implement, and execute corporate leadership recruitment strategies to ensure NAV CANADA is an Employer of Choice.
- Design and develop innovative processes which continuously enhance the ability and capability to attract and hire top and diverse leadership talent.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and leaders to create strategy to recruit, select and hire for leader level positions within the company.
- Build collaborative ties with business-unit leaders and HR colleagues to understand organizational talent and address development needs or gaps.
- Provides recruitment strategy direction to teams in driving applicant flow and leveraging company recruitment tools.
- Plans, tracks, and reports on leadership recruitment team performance and provides feedback to leadership and hiring manager teams.
- Develops, communicates and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the recruitment process model and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Manages budget for executive search and assessments.
- Ensures that recruitment and assessment strategies are timely and cost effective.
- Responsible for providing guidance and training to recruitment teams, local leadership and HR Business Partners on external recruitment strategies.
- Ensures the integrity of the recruitment process is maintained as well as adherence to internal guidelines and appropriate legislation.
- Collaborate with third party support for specialized or senior leadership positions if required.
- Identify patterns and trends related to leadership talent acquisition needs and appropriate talent acquisition solutions.
- Collaborating with managers, develop and implement talent acquisition branding, digital design and social media teams to develop creative content that positions NAV CANADA’s employee value proposition.
- Organize and conduct promotional and networking events to develop a talent pipeline as required.
- Supports all Diversity and Inclusion strategies related to talent acquisition.
- Proactively uses different resources for data mining and recruitment, along with advertising, career fairs, open houses, interviews, tele/video conferencing and networking with professional organizations and associations to increase the applicant pool.

What you bring:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced degree preferred and CHRP or equivalent preferred.
- 5 years’ human resources, recruiting/talent acquisition experience; corporate recruitment preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of people management experience preferred.
- Experienced practitioner in building a best-in-class organization known for hiring the best talent and developing employees to deliver extraordinary value to all stakeholders.
- Detailed knowledge of interviewing and assessment formats and processes; excellent interviewing/assessment skills.
- Knowledge of employment law and collective agreements.
- Bilingual in English and French preferred.
