Position Information

**Position Title**
- Academic Integrity Coordinator**Position Summary**
- The Academic Integrity Coordinator is part of a team of Library and Academic Support coordinators and librarians and is responsible for the leadership and direction of Academic Integrity supports and Academic Support service delivery. The Academic Integrity Coordinator plays a key role in providing services and support to students in achieving academic success including tutoring with a flexible focus.- The Academic Integrity Coordinator promotes a culture of honesty in Academics at RDP.- The incumbent will ensure consistent service levels in academic support services through leadership, training, communication, evaluation of staff, as well as working with the Associate Dean, Student Success, and other Library leaders, to ensure the service meets the highest quality standards and adheres to RDP policies and the Library’s vision and procedures.**Position Responsibilities**

**Coordination of Academic Support Services**
- Determines service standards for Academic Support
- Works with other coordinator and librarians to operationalize Library and Academic Support Operational and Strategic plans
- Advances new service initiatives through planning and research
- Provides leadership in academic support services by recognizing student service demands and adapting services to meet the day to day needs of learners
- Works with librarians and other coordinator to provide relevant and responsive training opportunities to Academic Support staff
- Assesses the efficacy of the services using a variety of tools such as surveys, usage statistics, and small group feedback
- Works with librarians to integrate writing skills into information literacy classes and workshops
- Provides Social Media content to Library Virtual Student Experience Coordinator for Library social media related to Academic Support Services
- Joins work teams for Polytechnic-wide student-at-risk projects as required

**Academic Integrity Information Coordination**
- Supports a culture of Academic Honesty at RDP through classroom presentations, collaboration with faculty, and integration into Academic Support Services
- Works with Librarians to execute relevant Academic Integrity Policy and Procedures
- Provides feedback to Librarians on Academic Integrity preventative and remedial tutorials
- Meets with students (as referred) who have infracted the Academic Misconduct Procedure
- Communicates meeting information with relevant School Associate Dean
- Raises profile of Academic Integrity Office within the institution through presenting to relevant groups and committees
- Explores restorative practices to resolve academic integrity policy infractions in consultation with faculty members and Associate Deans
- Responsible for recruitment, hiring, initiates performance management, and where necessary, in compliance with People and Culture policies and procedures, FOIPP and collective agreements, escalates issues and actions to supervisor
- Provides leadership by disseminating information, providing feedback, advising, and coaching staff
- Prepares and monitors staff schedules and assigns daily workloads to staff, based on service needs and the part-time employee budget allocation
- Directs the day-to-day operations of direct report(s)
- Plans, organizes, and coordinates formal and informal orientation and training of employees under direct supervision
- Facilitates regular departmental staff meetings to provide updates, brainstorm new ideas/problem solve together, ensure departmental goals are on track, acknowledge success/improvements, identify barriers/raise concerns, and establish an environment of trust, collaboration, and recognition
- Coordinates and allocates workload, approves, monitors, and reports vacation, timesheets, leave requests and other absences in conjunction with supervisor
- Conducts performance enhancement process in accordance with standard practice and collective agreements; escalates issues or concerns to supervisor
- Encourages staff to participate in growth opportunities and professional development opportunities as they arise
- Maintain confidentiality of personal information in accordance with Polytechnic policy, procedures, and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act

**Continuous Growth and Acquisition of New Skills**
- Applies to present at relevant conferences and workshop
- Actively participates in training and professional development activities as they become available
- Seeks learning opportunities from other staff in the Division of Student Success to increase knowledge of divisional services and can provide initial support and triage to students, faculty, and staff
- Actively acquires knowledge and regularly familiarizes self with policy and procedure to meet user needs immediately without misleading or misdirecting students to service
