**Job Summary**
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Safety Co-ordinator promotes a behaviour-based safety culture and supports the health and safety of the employees and the company’s compliance to applicable industry and government rules and legislation.

**Duties**
- Creation and revision of policies and procedures that meet legislation and fit the companies’ activities.
- Administers the company Certificate of Recognition (COR) certification.
- Manages subcontractor vetting websites.
- Implements, evaluates, and maintains the company Health and Safety Management System (HSMS).
- Analyzes safety audits and statistics for reporting and identifies areas for improvement.
- Advises leadership team on changes to safety standards and regulations.
- Coordinates incident investigations and applies corrective actions.
- Collaborates with client safety representatives to ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
- Schedules and conducts onsite safety inspections.
- Organizes monthly safety meetings.
- Endorses the Joint Workplace Health and Safety Committee (JWHSC).
- Promotes a positive safety culture.
- Develops in-house orientation and training programs.
- Delegates appropriate tasks to the Operations admin team.

**Experience**
- Occupational Health and Safety Diploma, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of ISN©, ComplyWorks©, and Avetta©.
- Knowledge of Federal and Provincial carrier programs
- 2+ years experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 Suite programs and proficient in computer use.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to support and motivate workers.
