**About the role**

As a social media and PR manager, you will be in charge of growing RVezy’s online presence to further help our growth. You will also build and nurture relationships with the media across the United States and Canada. This role involves collaboration with the other members of the marketing team in order to ensure a consistent message across all channels.

**Key responsibilities**
- Have a strong understanding of how North American media outlets operate (online news sources, newspapers, radio, TV, podcasts, etc.).
- Manage outreach, report on progress, and share results with the leadership team using a variety of tools such as PR software and CRMs.
- Manage media inquiries and interview requests
- Direct social media strategy and content
- Build and maintain relationships with editorial channels and personalities
- Monitor and maintain the online identity and reputation of RVezy.
- Evaluate the public opinion of clients through surveys, polls, and social media listening.
- Arrange press conferences, interviews, and other media and event appearances.
- Participate in the development and execution of multi-channel communications and campaigns
- Create press release statements and perform media training sessions for public-facing RVezy staff
- Coordinate with the internal team on the planning and execution of trade events
- Work closely to support the priorities of the senior management team
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships and sponsorships on an ongoing basis
- Maintain an understanding of industry trends and make recommendations to senior management regarding strategies.

**Qualifications**:
Minimums:

- Five or more years of relevant social media management experience.
- Three or more years of cold outreach, sales, or news-related pitching experience with a proven track record.
- An outstanding ability with words and tremendous people skills.
- High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
- Event planning experience

Preferred:

- Experience with Meta Business Suite
- Fluent in English and French
- Experience in technology-based firms
- Advanced knowledge in influencer and content creator lead communications

**Location**

The role will require you to be in office 2-3 days per week in our Ottawa office.
