**Purpose of Role**

Under the general direction of the Tamir Board of Directors, and the direct supervision of the Executive Director, the Fundraising, Social Media, and Engagement Specialist will be responsible for formulating and executing the organization’s fundraising strategy. You will engage in donor cultivation, grant writing, campaign management, social media marketing and stakeholder engagement activities to help achieve the organization's fundraising goals. This includes planning and coordinating fundraising and other special events, publication of newsletters and other materials, managing social media platforms, along with grant writing, and overseeing volunteers.

**Role and Key Responsibilities**

**_Fundraising_**
- Plans and coordinates the implementation of Tamir’s fundraising strategies such as membership and other fundraising initiatives
- Provide general fundraising support to the Fundraising Committee
- Research grant opportunities and writes grants to support the development and expansion of new programs and initiatives
- Maintain relationships with donors and engage in new donor relationships and opportunities
- Manage all aspects of events, from pre-planning, resource needs and on-site coordination, to post event follow up
- Create marketing tools to fully support and communicate events
- Oversee special event volunteers in collaboration with the Fundraising Committee

**_Social Media _**
- Manage Tamir’s Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok content
- Collaborate with Tamir programs, management, and Judaic Programmer to advertise holiday or Jewish community events or activities for specific audiences internally and external to Tamir
- Ensures photographs and program information is available to Tamir for the purposes of public relations activities that support the work of the Judaic program through stakeholders
- Creates a plan that positions Tamir to build a prominent profile and brand within the Jewish and general community
- Develops and implements an advertising, promotion and publicity strategy for agency events and webinars, Jewish holidays, new initiatives, etc.
- Develops a monthly/annual communications calendar in alignment with the Jewish holidays, special recognition months, Life and Legacy benchmarks, and Newsletters, through a social media strategy for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Develops and maintains the content for and postings on social media platforms which include but is not limited to the Website, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Creates and coordinates the format and content objective of the Tamir newsletters, annual report, and other written materials
- Maintains the Tamir website and liaises with the web provider to ensure the site is operational and up to date

**_Grants_**
- Systematically research, map, identify and explore eligibility requirements for relevant funding opportunities
- Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership regarding funding opportunities
- Draft polished and professional grant proposals tailored to the requirements of each funding opportunity
- Manage timelines and the grant submission process
- Monitor submitted proposals and respond to funding agency queries as required
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of proposal content
- Complete and file required reports for successful grants

**_Finance and Administration_**
- Communicates, on an ongoing basis, with the Fundraising Committee to ensure financial targets are being realized, members are kept informed, and their feedback is obtained and well utilized.
- Develops an annual operational plan with measurable objectives including progress reports and a final outcomes report
- Develop and implement annual work plans in order to meet revenue and other targets
- Reports regularly on the progress of certain fundraising plans, milestones and outcomes to the Development Committee and/or the Executive Director as assigned
- Attends various meetings to provide updates on fundraising and PR activities
- Communicates with community partners regarding Tamir activities as required through various means
- Make recommendations to the Executive Director in the development of the annual budget, including revenues and expenditures associated with specific fundraising initiatives, and manage budgets for specific initiatives as assigned
- Maintains and develops Tamir’s donor tracking and reporting systems using a computerized database program to ensure efficient and effective entry of donations, obtaining credit card authorizations, issuing of donor cards, thank-you letters, and receipts
- Produces, with assistance from the Finance Department, fundraising, membership and other reports utilizing Tamir’s fundraising database
- Attends Fundraising Committee meetings as required
