Reporting to the Manager, Donor Engagement, the Lead, Donor Engagement, will be responsible for delivering on key elements of the comprehensive Donor Engagement Strategy, with a strong emphasis on timely activation of all existing donor engagement opportunities. The Donor Impact & Engagement team exists to help ensure that all donors have a timely, consistent, and meaningful experience after giving to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Naming & Recognition
- Lead the execution of all philanthropic naming and recognition in accordance with the Alberta Cancer Foundation Donor Recognition Standards
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy team to present recognition opportunities to donors,
- Manage an inventory of naming assets
- Coordinate installations, updates and maintenance of dimensional lettering, plaques and donor walls at cancer centers across the province
Policy & Strategy Delivery
- Uphold the Alberta Cancer Foundation’s Gift Acceptance Policy, Endowment Policy and Donor Impact Standards
- Manage the documentation and regular updating of all policies and procedures related to donor engagement
- Drive the execution of personalized donor engagement plans, ensuring timely delivery of key Impact and Engagement deliverables.
- Execute the Alberta Cancer Foundation’s Donor Recognition Standards and Endowment Reporting Strategy
- Lead the activation of key donor engagement activities such as the annual Report to the Community and Leap Magazine
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a Fundraising organization, with direct experience in stewardship and donor recognition
- A strong understanding of donor recognition processes and best practices
- Previous experience managing vendors and procurement processes is considered an asset
- Strong relationship building skills, with ability to foster ongoing partnerships
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects with excellence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of and passion for healthcare philanthropy is considered an asset
- Clear Background Check
- Valid Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle
