**Location** - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at Enterprise Square.

**Position**
The Director, Engagement, in conjunction with the Associate Vice President and senior leadership team in Development and Alumni Relations, oversees and directs programs that engage alumni, donors and friends, fostering relationships through activities that connect with the university and deliver exceptional experiences. The Director plays an essential role in attracting and sustaining active supporters of the university’s mission of teaching, research, and community engagement.
As a senior leader in Development and Alumni Relations, the incumbent develops and oversees broad and campaign-specific engagement strategies, ensuring the successful creation, execution, and evaluation of initiatives aligned with the University's strategic plan, Shape. This includes developing plans and timelines for strategic events; engaging alumni and donors through Annual Giving, and leading integrated plans and programs that communicate the impact of philanthropy and encourage future support.
The Director will lead a talented and committed team of professionals in the creation, execution and evaluation of high-quality programs and initiatives that engage, cultivate and steward relationships with alumni, donors, volunteers and friends.
**Duties**
- Builds strong, collaborative relationships, fostering pride and support for the university and inspiring giving, advocacy and volunteerism.
- Develops, implements, and optimizes data-driven engagement programs, initiatives, and campaigns that grow connections with the university, strengthen relationships and inspire philanthropy.
- Provides senior counsel to the events team responsible for implementing external events with campus partners, including presidential events and those most crucial to the university's reputation with external constituencies.
- Brings vision and senior leadership to advancing innovative annual giving programs. Oversees the development and execution of a robust strategy to achieve fundraising goals, including donor acquisition, retention and stewardship for an enhanced donor experience.
- Provides senior oversight and counsel on donor relations strategies and plans that fulfill the university’s responsibility to its donors through regular contact and reporting on contributions and impact.
