**Your mission**:To ensure Reliable Controls adheres to its worldwide fiduciary obligations by preparing and filing any and all required legal and financial statements in a timely manner, while balancing the corporate accounts and optimizing cashflows.

**In this role you will**:

- Manage corporate finance for the Reliable Controls group of companies
- Lead and manage the accounting and administration team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback
- Responsibility for developing and overseeing the yearly operational strategy for the administration department
- Manage day-to-day operation of the group’s finances and regulatory compliance
- Oversee and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial requirements when expanding into new markets
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls
- Plan and coordinate budgeting and financial forecasting
- Generate accurate and timely quarterly financial statements
- Manage payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees while adhering to relevant regulations and tax laws
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting
- Oversee all accounting functions, procedures, and accounting policies
- Coordinate and oversee multijurisdictional sales tax and income tax filings, working with external accountants and advisors
- Support quarterly and year-end close processes
- Completion and preparation of government statistical reporting requirements
- Conduct financial analysis to identify areas of improvement, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement
- Arrange and oversee insurance coverage for the group
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics GP to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights, support strategic planning, and drive profitability
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, regulatory bodies, external financial and legal partners as required
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in accounting regulations to ensure continuous improvement in financial management

**This role might be right for you if you have**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years proven work experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar finance leadership role
- Must be a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in good standing
- Understanding of accounting and regulatory/tax issues associated with global operations
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar financial management systems
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
