**The Opportunity**:
We are seeking a full-time individual for CENGN’s Finance. In this role, you will report to the Controller and work closely with the CENGN team, Members, and Partners, to support the finance team in

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in accounts payable, accounts receivables and cash processing cycles
- Assist in month end closing procedures including bank reconciliations, prepaids expenses, accruals, amortization, allocation, and deferred revenue
- Assists in In-kind recording, reconciliation and eligibility for matching through understanding of various contribution agreement and expense eligibility
- Complete and submit HST filing
- Prepare daily transactions, month-end entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with data maintenance
- Assist with implementation and testing of new systems and processes
- Special projects as required
- Maintaining the QuickBooks Online database daily

**Key Competencies/Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles including accounting controls
- Understanding of project and fund accounting in a non-for-profit setting
- Strong service orientation, interpersonal and communication skills: ability to build trust quickly with stakeholders (internal and external)
- Ability to understand, interpret and follow requirement of funding agreements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including creating Pivot Tables and performing VLOOKUP’s
- Must have knowledge of QuickBooks (online and/or desktop) or Simply Accounting Software
- Strong math skills are required to complete day-to-day tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and tight deadlines

**Education**:

- Diploma in Business Administration in Accounting (required)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting or a related field (preferred)
- Currently enrolled in the CPA program (an asset)

**Experience**:

- 2-5 years of experience in an accounting function

**Languages**:

- English oral, reading, and writing
- French oral, reading, and writing or any other language would be considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
