**International Admissions Representative - Partnerships**

Reporting to the Manager, International Admissions, the International Admissions Representative (Partnerships) position provides operational support and assistance to the International Admissions Department in support of our partner locations. In alignment with Mohawk College’s mission and values, the incumbent assists international applicants in navigating the admissions processes and procedures at the College to ensure they complete all necessary activities needed to commence and complete their academic studies.

As a primary point of contact for Mohawk students regarding admissions, the incumbent must be able to respond to, investigate and resolve a diverse number of inquiries from students, staff, faculty and other departments. The incumbent must also develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with staff across the RO and International & Partnerships, as well as with other areas of Student Services and College stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
**Application Processing**
- Checking Banner, International SIS and Cognos reports to ensure that the applicant has been identified correctly as an international student and, in the event of inaccurate data, entering the correct information.
- Managing and maintaining both hard copy (paper) and soft copy (electronic) files for applicants to ensure all necessary documentation is received in multiple International SISs
- Reconciliation of outstanding files and customer communication to ensure applicant remains engaged

**Change of Application Status**
- ** **Acknowledgement of refund requests and OCAS International Application Service, confirming requests details
- Assigning approved requests to the appropriate Admissions Officer
- Reconciliation of outstanding files and customer communication to ensure file is maintained accordingly
- Acknowledgement of requests received through the online deferral request form and OCAS International Application Service, confirming request details
- Ensuring requests are reviewed and a decision is made (needs more information, approved or denied), in the order which they are received, in accordance with established service standards reconciliation of outstanding files and customer communication to ensure file is maintained accordingly

**Student Account Management**
- ** **Maintenance and monitoring of all incoming international payments through multiple payment channels
- Preparation of daily payment reports, processing student payments, checking student account balances, reconciling payments daily
- Creation and issuance of payment receipts within established service standards through the International SISs.
- Ensure standards for maintenance and accuracy of all applicant files is maintained within International SISs.
- Other duties as assigned._

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of two-year post-secondary diploma/degree Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Communications, or related fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of practical experience, in a service-oriented environment within an educational setting; primarily related to supporting applicants, students and staff with experience managing multiple databases and applicant management points of contact.
- Diversity - demonstrated experience working with and supporting a diverse student/applicant population.
- Knowledge of post-secondary education systems - knowledge of college programs, student policies, student services, student success initiatives, and corporate databases including Banner or similar student information management systems would be an asset.
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills - ability to manage multiple student tasks, projects and issues at the same time.
- Team oriented: demonstrated intrapersonal skills and an ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential
