Since 1973, The Roberts/Smart Centre (RSC) has offered treatment and support to youth across Ontario with the most complex and serious mental health and behavioural challenges. We serve youth through a family-centred, inclusive and community-based approach.

**Live-In Treatment Program Coordinator (In-person position in Ottawa)**
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:
1. Responsible for the management, direction, supervision, training, mentorship, evaluation and development of youth counselling staff.
2. Responsible for the implementation of treatment and planning for clients, as follows:
- Ensures the establishment and maintenance of therapeutic relationships between staff and clients;
- Participates with clinical staff in the design and implementation of support programs;
- Ensures satisfactory liaison with families, community schools and agencies;
- Implements Plans of Care;
- Ensures evidence-informed mental health approaches are known and applied by youth counselling staff as per Plans of Care;
- Responsible for the case management for all clients within the program.
3. Administratively responsible for the following:
- Compliance with Ministry legislation and RSC policies;
- Monitors program budget expenditures;
- Staff scheduling (according to RSC staffing model) as needed;
- Program Specific Staff orientation.
4. Provides On-Call services as established by the Centre.
**QUALIFICATION CRITERIA**:
1. CAAT diploma, or university degree applicable to the human service field, with the equivalent of five years' experience as a full time treatment/direct care worker primarily in a live-in modality.
2. Broad knowledge of youth counselling and demonstrated superior performance in many of the following:
- program planning and implementation;
- working with community resources (educational, recreational, social);
- organizational skills with an aptitude for leadership, problem solving and decision making;
- ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
3. Coordinator or management experience, including mentoring, is strongly encouraged.
4. Fully bilingual in both official languages an asset.

**PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITES**:
1. Assume la gestion, la direction, la supervision, la formation, mentorat, évaluation et le développement des éducateurs(trices) specialisés(es).
2. Responsable de la réalisation du traitement et de la planification des services aux clients:
- S'assurer de la mise en place et la continuité de relations thérapeutique entre les employés et les clients;
- Contribuer, avec le personnel clinique, à la conception et à la mise en oeuvre des programmes de soutien;
- S'assurer que les rélations avec les familles, les écoles de la communauté et les agences soient satisfaisantes;
- Mettre en oeuvre les plans de soins;
- S'assurer que les nouvelles approches novatrices relatives pour les soins de santé mentale sont connues et implimentés par les employés;
- Responsable de la gestion de cas de tous les clients qui participent au programme.
3. Responsable sur le plan administratif de:
- Respecter les règles CRS et les politiques ministerielles;
- Surveiller les dépenses budgétaires de son programme;
- Planifier l'horaire de travail des employés (selon le modèle de dotation du Centre);
- Orienter le personnel (propre à son programme).
4. Fournir des services de résolution des crises selon les besoins.
**CRITERES DE QUALIFICATION**:
1. Diplome CAAT, ou diplome universitaire lié aux services sociaux, avec l'equivalent de cinq annés d'experience à temps plein comme éducateur(trice) en santé mentale, principalement dans un milieu residentiel.
