Resident Program Coordinator - Permanent Part-Time Position (Stittsville)

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Resident Program Coordinator to join our team at Extendicare, a leading provider of care and services for seniors throughout Canada. This is a permanent part-time position based in Stittsville.

About the Role

As a Resident Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff. You will assume ultimate responsibility for program planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as resident assessments and care planning.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date program and resident records according to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement effective programs and activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Conduct regular resident assessments to identify their needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans that promote resident well-being.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure Services or Gerontology.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in program planning and coordination, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
