Ottawa, Canada Indigenous Centre for Cumulative Effects Full time

Full-time, remote

$52,700-$73,000

**About Us**

The Indigenous Centre for Cumulative Effects (ICCE) is an Indigenous-founded, Indigenous-led, and exclusively Indigenous-serving organization that supports Indigenous communities in addressing cumulative effects through a Two-Eyed Seeing approach. Our primary objective is to build and enhance the technical and scientific capacity of Indigenous communities across Canada, based on the values of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. As a resource, we provide funding for community-led projects, share knowledge, and link Indigenous communities together, working towards intergenerational decision-making and partnership building.

**About you**

As a Project Coordinator, you are organized, detail-oriented and customer centred, understanding that a team effort will lead to the success for indigenous communities and ICCE. You are comfortable using office software like Microsoft Office, have a strong understanding of spreadsheets, and can design using platforms such as Canva or Visme. An active listener, you have a proven track record of responding to needs appropriately, seeking resources, guidance or leadership where necessary.

**Key Traits**
- Indigenous knowledge or experience is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in excellent customer service
- Demonstrated rigorous communication skills and ability to build relationships with diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise
- Detail oriented, organized, and able to work in a virtual environment
- Proactive and a problem solver

**About the Role**

Your primary responsibilities will involve providing support to applicants and funding recipients. You will help guide applicants through the process, review reports, budgets, and funding agreements. In learning SalesForce, you will keep our records up-to-date, ensure we have complete documentation for each project, help us maintain a clean database, and create cases for issues. You may need to prepare reports, minutes, presentations, summaries, and notes in supporting the many voices involved with the Community Funding Program (CFP) as it iterates to improve with each round. You will assist in communications to prepare for future rounds of funding as well as inform current rounds of the culture of ICCE as a funding party. This will include drafting and proofing language for internal and external communications to the Community Funding Program, developing How-To-Guides, and other reporting materials. You will also support the reconciliation of payments and transfers with our bookkeeper.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the new and existing applicants of the Community Funding Program (CFP)
- Keep information up-to-date and standardise the data in our system, eventually handling duplicates
- Actively listen and document Indigenous communities, our Technical Advisory Committee Board, and other voices involved in the Community Funding Program to build and improve the program
- Document and prepare audience specific communication materials
- Track and manage the information of the CFP using Salesforce

**Requirements**:

- 5-7 years of working experience related to the required skills and abilities
- Degree or certificate in Business Administration or a combination of education and relevant experience in environmental management, land-use planning, integrated water management, or related field an asset
- Proven communication skills and ability to draft and proofread internal and external communications, create informative materials, summaries, reports, and organize webinars or online events
- Experience working in with an Indigenous community is an asset
- Experience in cumulative effects an asset
- Working experience with Microsoft Office, Slack, Google Drive, Zoom, and SalesForce (an asset)
