**International Initiatives Coordinator**:
**Primary Purpose**: The Coordinator will support the development and management of programs, services and activities dedicated to building and continually enhancing the student experience in international business within the Edwards School of Business.

**Nature of Work**: This position reports to the Associate Dean, Academic to develop and execute Edwards School of Business international initiatives. The coordinator must have the ability to operate independently, efficiently, and productively in a highly challenging environment characterized by multiple internal and external stakeholders. It is an operational position that requires good execution skills as well as long-term planning abilities. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required. There may also be the need for traveling domestically and abroad.

The position requires significant interaction with current and prospective Edwards students both international and domestic considering international opportunities. The position also deals with alumni, staff, faculty, various University departments and a variety of organizations within the Saskatchewan business community and abroad.

**Accountabilities**:Participate in the development and execution of a comprehensive internationalization plan. This will include, but is not limited to, the following:
**Strategic**:

- ** **Work with the Associate Dean, Academic to create the college-wide strategic plan with respect to international recruitment and retention initiatives and support the internationalization of curriculum.
- Working directly with faculty to support implementing Collaborate Online International Learning (COIL) in the classroom

**International Budget & Awards**
- ** **Budgeting responsibility for international activities through Hanlon and awarding of student funding including Hanlon Study/Travel awards Go Global student travel subsidies and ESL Bursaries

**International Exchange Partnership Development**

***Primary contact and lead for maintenance, renewal, and growth of Edwards bilateral exchange agreements, maintain existing exchange partners relationships and prospecting potential new partners. i.e., hosting partners and visiting partner locations.

**Study Abroad**
- ** **Manage the Edwards Study Abroad Program for both inbound and outbound exchanges, including but not limited to promotion, student recruitment and selection, student support for retention, and facilitation and approval of the transfer credit process assessments.

**Recruitment**
- ** **Lead the execution of an international recruitment strategy (including marketing, communications, and outreach) for Edwards targeted at prospective undergraduate students, in conjunction with TLSE Recruitment staff, Edwards Communications and Undergraduate teams.
- Report on recruitment strategies with relevant stakeholders (donors, faculty council, administrative units, Edwards committees, etc.)

**International Student Support/ Retention**
- ** **Primary business liaison with ISAAC for international student-related events, deadlines
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive international student experience based on what international students identify as their needs and challenges. i.e., international student orientation, open house, liaise with Edwards International Student Society (EISS).
- Touchpoint with USask Language Centre promoting ESL courses, UBridge and Hanlon Bursary for international and PR students.
- Oversee the International Business Minor.

**Qualifications**
**Education**: A Bachelor’s in Business or related discipline. A specialization in international business is considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
