**About the Role**:
The Marketing and Communications Liaison Manager is responsible for the development and execution of a strategic marketing and communications plan for two Faculties: Applied Health Sciences and Math and Science, supporting internal and external communications programs to raise the visibility of the units, enhance their reputation and support their strategic priorities.
**The Marketing and Communications Liaison Manager will**:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, strategic and measurable marketing and communications plan in collaboration with unit leads to support the unit’s strategic priorities and support the advancement of the University’s overall brand and reputation;
- Set clearly defined goals and targets for marketing and communication program;
- Provide regular analysis and reporting to key partners;
- Ensure plans support the University’s overall marketing and communications plan and strategic priorities;
- Act as key liaison between designated unit and central Marketing and Communications team;
- Lead best practice dissemination across units to ensure consistency and utilization of tools, resources, advice and direction across the University;
- Generate content for a wide range of channels and platforms, both traditional and digital;
- Set goals and targets and ensure all activities are measurable and utilize measurement and analysis to inform marketing budget planning;
- Work with staff and faculty in designated area to build strong relationships with Marketing and Communications.
**Key Skills and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, journalism or related field;
- A minimum of five years of related experience in communications and/or marketing, providing leadership, advise and expertise, preferably in the public sector;
- A valid G class driver's license and an acceptable driver's abstract;
- Ability to write clear and concise copy under tight deadlines;
- Knowledge of marketing and communications best practices (particularly in post-secondary education);
- Demonstrated success in strategic marketing planning skills, marketing campaign development and implementation;
- Demonstrated experience writing compelling creative briefs and comprehensive integrated marketing communications (IMC) plans;
- Advanced knowledge of design software and Microsoft Office, including extensive knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and relevant technology;
- Ability to influence people from a broad range of backgrounds, positions and perspectives with strong consultative, advisory and public speaking skills;
- Strong understanding of measurement best practices and ability to analyze data and metrics;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple files and quickly change focus in a fast-paced environment where priorities are apt to change on short notice;
- High degree of critical judgement that supports decision-making;
- Ability to manage expectations of various partners.
**Preferred or Asset Skills**:
- University experience and acumen preferred.
**Salary and Total Rewards**:
- Job Grade N, Salary Scale ($75,460-$129,360);
- Target Hiring Range: $75,460-$77,525;
- This position includes full comprehensive benefits including tuition waiver.
