Communications Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Communication Specialist to join our team. As a Communication Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective communication strategies to enhance our organization's internal and external communication efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about communication and has excellent written and verbal skills.
**Duties**:
- Create and optimize content for the website using a variety of graphics, database, animation and other software
- Develop existing website graphics, content, capacity and interactivity including use of QR codes
- Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that it is consistent with the organization’s image
- Integrate features and functionalities into websites including QR code use
- Test and improve the design of a website
- Develop and implement communication and promotion strategies
- Develop appropriate advertising and marketing plans
- Maintain media and social media relations on behalf of the business
- Assess characteristics of products or services to be promoted and to determine marketing and advertising needs
- Advise on marketing, advertising or sales promotion opportunities and strategies
- Develop strategies and related content for direct and digital marketing and advertising campaigns
- Manage post campaign analysis to measure and report on marketing and advertising metrics
- Develop and maintain social media accounts, including managing customer reviews and testimonials
- Develop, implement and evaluate public relations strategies and programs designed to inform clients and potential
- Publicize activities and events
- Represent the organization by interacting with visitors, answering questions
- Conduct offsite research
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Adobe Reader
- Proficient in proofreading and editing written materials
- Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content
- Experience in public speaking or presenting in front of an audience is preferred
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- May open and close the facility
- On-the-job training is provided
Employment requirements: Background in marketing and advertising, web design, graphic design, computer science, graphic arts, or QR coding preferred and good communication skills.
