**No previous medical experience is required for this position. **A Medical Office Assistant diploma would be an asset, but is not required. Dominion Medical Centres is hiring a full time Patient Care Coordinator for our South West Edmonton location.

**The Individual**

**The Position**

Located at our reception desk, the Patient Care Coordinator is the key connection between patients and physicians. The position requires the management of a high volume of phone calls, scheduling appointments, patient/clinic communication and a variety of other administrative office tasks. The Patient Care Coordinator ensures the efficient, professional operation of the clinic.

**Areas of responsibility include**:

- Greeting patients as the enter the clinic
- Answering incoming phone calls
- Processing incoming documents and accurately indexing them to patient files
- Utilization of our Electronic Medical Record software
- Performing a variety of general administrative tasks

**Qualifications/Skills Required**:

- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
- 2+ years working in a medical, retail, administrative or office environment
