Circo Festival Canada is a premier organization dedicated to hosting top-tier Aerial, Actobatics, Dance and Various Circus Acts competitions in Calgary. Our events provide a platform for performers of all ages and skill levels to showcase their talent and passion. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager with a Dance and Circus background to join our team and help us continue to deliver exceptional events.

**Job Description**:
The Circo Festival Canada Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our competitions, from planning and organizing to execution and post-event evaluation. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills, a deep understanding of the dance and circus industry, and a passion for creating memorable experiences for participants. The role is part time with 15-20 hours per month, with possibly of increasing hours with the increase of registrations for events. March and April tend to be 30-40hours per month.

**Duties**:

- Plan, organize, and execute competition and workshops, ensuring all events run smoothly and efficiently.
- Coordinate with venues, vendors, sponsors, to secure necessary resources and services.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Oversee the registration process, including managing online platforms, handling inquiries, and ensuring accurate data entry.
- Lead and manage event staff and volunteers, providing clear direction and support.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and industry regulations.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events and attract participants.
- Handle all on-site event logistics, including set-up, scheduling, judging, and awards ceremonies.
- Gather and analyze feedback from participants, staff, and spectators to continuously improve future events.
- Maintain strong relationships with dance schools, studios, and industry professionals.
- Order items for events.

**Experience**:

- Background in Dance and Circus Arts.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in event management, preferably within the dance or performing arts industry.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in google docs, google excel, canva, wix and some experience with dancebug software.
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as required by event schedules.
- Passion for dance and circus arts and a deep understanding of various dance styles and competition formats.

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 5 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Calgary, AB T2C 1G1
