Salary and Benefits
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience. Lafarge Canada offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
Job Description
This exciting opportunity is for a Director, Procurement Operations to lead and drive implementation of category strategies in the local operational environment. The successful candidate will maximize the savings associated with the spend managed locally as defined by Category teams.
The Director will participate in the development of the procurement strategy and lead the rollout of same within a Plant, Region or Business Segment. They will implement procurement process and procedures while assuring KPIs.
Key responsibilities include managing the operational, strategic and tactical procurement of goods and services categories in accordance with Holcim category strategy, as well as applicable policies, procedures and specifications.
The Director will act as the point of contact between Category Management Global and North America Regional and l and Operations.
They will drive the realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements in country, in line with regional and global strategies.
The Director will identify saving opportunities and initiate individual projects and initiatives at all operational levels.
They will manage and develop Procurement Managers, Warehouse Managers and Buyers.
The Director will lead long and short-range regional procurement & warehousing activities to support the Procurement roadmap and business objectives.
They will provide procurement input at the Country, Plant, NA Regional and Business Segment levels to support the operation of the business.
The Director will represent Head of Procurement in Exco meetings in WCAN.
They will attend Global Procurement meetings with Head of Global Procurement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors/Undergraduate degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Economics with additional qualification in Management, Business, or Procurement (MBA) preferred.
- Master's/Graduate Degree Preferred
- ISM CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager)
Experience and Skill Set
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in procurement role (category management, sourcing, operations) with exposure to supply chain management, strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes and standards.
Demonstrated performance working within cross-functional teams, with requisite drive and energy to ensure that a challenging benefits and capability building agenda is successfully delivered.
Proven experience in leading a cohesive team while creating a vision and strategies towards achieving ambitious goals.
