**Responsibilities**:
We are seeking a confident individual to provide financial support to Senior Management.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

- Responsible for overseeing the accurate completion of month-end close and year-end close, including preparation of monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Preparing all bookkeeping transactions within a computerized accounting system. Experience with Quickbooks Online is required.
- Ensure the general ledger is accurate and up to date with delivery of key reconciliations at month end.
- Maintain accurate records of all capital asset additions and prepare year-end amortization schedules.
- Provide accurate and complete year-end information and necessary accruals and supporting documentation to external accountants so that corporate tax returns can be prepared.
- Manage accounts receivables, invoicing and collections.
- Pay bills and manage accounts payable.
- Investigate and resolve account issues/discrepancies with detailed analysis and explanations.
- Prepare HST returns and manage payment of HST installments and balances in accordance with CRA deadlines.
- Process payroll and ensure payroll remittances are remitted in accordance with CRA deadlines.
- Responsible for preparation of regular intercompany reconciliations.
- Continually monitor and forecast cash flows.
- Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends upon request.
- Complete financial analysis and financial stress checks on prospective projects to provide management with the financial information needed to make informed decisions.
- Undertake special projects requested by management.
- Manage Trust Account.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor degree in business, accounting or finance.
- CPA designation or suitably equivalent professional accreditation.
- Minimum 3 years experience in accounting/finance and in a Controller (or similar) role.
- Experience working with QuickBooks Online.
- Expertise in dealing with international companies is an added benefit.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Understanding of income tax rules to ensure accounting records are clean and organized for the external accountant’s preparation of corporate tax filings.
- Experience with cash management and risk assessment
