Edmonton, Canada Family Connections Inc. Full time

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Managers will:
supervise staff; existing and new person-served files; take intake calls; match and assign new person-served intakes; review time sheets; prepare and/or review contact notes, progress reports, person-served assessments, safety and hazard reports and critical incidents; complete filing and ensure the files are up to CAC standards.
- Provide supervision monthly with supervisory staff and any staff members requesting or exhibiting signs for supervision.
- Support, debrief, and assess staff / program needs. Provide ongoing training and /or arrange training for staff.
- Ensure all cultural areas for programs are meeting standards and meet persons served needs.
- Assist in case planning, mediation, and problem solving with supervisors and/or staff.
- Attend regional case conference meetings, if required.
- Reporting all CIR’s to the senior program manager, the director, Guardian, Disability Services Coordinator.
- Ensure supervisors/staff bouquets and/ or concerns and strengths are dealt with according to the policy and procedure manual.
- Keep up on new research and findings for assigned program area.
- Be involved in outcomes and program evaluation.
- Oversee the program and resource manual for the programs run by the agency.
- Be available for rotation of on-call schedule, if necessary.
- Attend as a representative (if needed) for the Director for Family Connections Inc. the community/co-agency and or Association meetings.
- Meet for management/supervisor strategy building meetings on a regular basis.
- Train supervisors to stand-in when necessary.
- Provide supervision with the supervisors on a monthly basis, as well as, ongoing daily communication.
- Work closely with the supervisory/staff team and attend supervisor/staff meetings.
- Fulfill related duties assigned by the contract directives.**Direct Service**:

- Assist in case planning, mediation, and problem solving, with supervisors/staff.
- Attend regional case conference meetings, when required.
- Responsible to supervise the service plans.
- Responsible to supervise the identification, plans and implementation and evaluation of the service needs.
- Create a working environment based upon trust, caring, respect and to encourage the staff to meet all identified tasks.
- Ensure that the program service objectives are met.
- Advocate with the staff/community for formal and informal community support networks.
- Attend all meetings, conferences and crisis as required on the job
- Own transportation is necessary.

**Community Mapping and Inclusion**
- Build bridges with community resources encouraging partnership to be involved with service delivery where appropriate.
- Involvement within community actions and delivering agency information presentations.
- Research appropriate family / youth activities and encourage supervisors/staff to utilize these family outing activities and monitor outcomes.
- Oversee the community resource list and provide feedback/input into the updates.
- Support and encourage supervisors/staff to facilitate family involvement within the community either formally or informally.
- Keep abreast with any policy and program requirement changes to our programs made by the AASCF/Disability Services/CAC.

**Court Appearances**:

- Responsible to support staff /or attend court proceedings when required by Disability Services/PPC.
- Responsible for supervision of /or information presentation during court proceedings if so required by Disability Services/PPC.

- Strong leadership and supervisory abilities
- Possess management qualities and skills for the Human Service Field
- Strong decision making skills and sound judgement ability
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Specialized training in mediation and conflict resolution strategies
- Exemplifies team leadership abilities
- Specialized training in family dynamics, abuse protocol, medication administration, life skills, therapeutic interventions, adult/child education, parent teaching, crisis intervention, motivating for change, mental health, suicide intervention and self-harm, indigenous/cultural awareness, and First Aid/CPR.
- Take responsibility for updating any outdated necessary training.
- Respectful and non-judgmental with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently
- Enthusiastic, persistent, tactful, imaginative, creative and resourceful
- Ability to manage, plan, organize, implement and evaluate service plans
- Ability to drive
- Enhanced experience working with technology and cloud-based system.

1. Educational Level - degree or diploma in a human service field (*active member of professional governing body, if applicable)

2. Special knowledge, education and experience relating directly to management of Human service program delivery
