**Overview of the opportunity**:
As part of KPMG’s strategic commitment to growth, this role within the GTA Marketing team will be responsible for contributing to business development, supporting leadership and the key account team, building and maintaining client relationships, and supporting account-based marketing efforts. The Specialist works with Lead Partners and Industry Leaders to support revenue growth within the assigned key account portfolio. This is a complex role with responsibility for leading Energy & Natural Resources and Consumer & Retail key accounts as well as driving greater productivity.
The Specialist must have a background in account management, experience in marketing and communications and strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities of this role include:
- Support the key account team and facilitate knowledge sharing to ensure account growth and pursuit opportunities are identified
- Assist in the identification of key account relationships, facilitating relationship growth and tracking relationship development
- Ensure that all parts of the account team have full awareness of the key account activities, both business and financial results, including regular tracking, formal reporting and updates to the Key Account Team Lead
- Work directly with Industry Marketers to build, execute and measure account based marketing programs
- Provide direct support during RFP process and execution
- Manage a significant portion of KPMG’s Sports & Entertainment ticketing program
What you will do:
**_ Account Strategy, Planning and Management_**
- Manage a key account portfolio which includes detailed relationship matrix and plans, industry and account business issues and an ongoing pipeline of opportunities through prospecting
- Have an in-depth understanding of corporate priorities and key account management goals to work with the account team to implement strategic growth programs
- Provide guidance and facilitate the development, strategy and execution for both internal and external key client meeting deliverables
- Assist in the implementation of the overall go-to-market plan through collaboration and teamwork with the Key Account team and Industry Marketers
- Support the development and execution of account based marketing programs in partnership with Industry Marketers
- Track, measure and report regularly on Regional and National financial results against goals and objectives
**_ Relationship Management_**
- Facilitate relationship building, planning and execution with key accounts
- Work with the account team to develop and track the client relationship strategy and identify key stakeholders, develop plans and touch point campaigns to strengthen relationships
- Deploy relevant National Marketing and Communications campaigns at the account level in the GTA and create awareness both internally and externally to build key account relationships
- Develop a strong understanding of services and solutions to determine which initiatives would be relevant and important to key stakeholders/decision makers
- Develop and execute client communication strategy with the account team and in collaboration with Lead Partners through regular updates
**_ Pipeline Management_**
- Identify and qualify business opportunities through understanding of client imperatives and marketing initiatives
- Assist account teams in identifying and qualifying business and relationship opportunities with key contacts to grow the pipeline
- Incorporate, facilitate and act as a champion for KPMG’s sales methodology on active opportunities and client interactions
- Influence external and internal networks and utilize account knowledge to facilitate account prospecting and potential pursuits
- Provide support for Request For Proposals (RFP) process and execution related to key accounts
- Collaborate with Proposal and account teams to leverage KPMG resources (i.e. Research, Communications, Writers and Legal) as required for Key Accounts and large opportunities
**_ Exceptional Client Service Excellence_**
- Enable client service excellence through key account teams by being responsive, insightful and connected to the client
- Lead and facilitate KPMG’s Voice of the Client (client feedback program) for the accounts, including managing outcomes and future action plans
- Identify and create targeted communications to the client throughout the year
**_ Knowledge Sharing and Networks_**
- Act as central point for information related to key account
- Share best practices across internal networks and advocate for sharing of resources and tools (i.e. Marketing, Communications, Proposals, Business Development, etc.)
- Assist with account team onboarding for new Partners and Managers
- Strive to achieve consistency and quality in account
