Position Summary

The Traffic and Customs Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of shipping and import/export processes.

Essential Responsibilities

Ensure that adequate shipping instructions and information are provided to process necessary customs paperwork for shipping goods.

Ensure the smooth flow of shipping parts, materials, and manufactured goods.

Complete all necessary customs paperwork for shipping of goods.

Trace and expedite shipments in the transportation flow.

Interface with Canadian and US customs brokers to ensure that the correct customs clearance procedures are followed in respect to end-use, duties, and taxes.

Prepare courier envelopes and bills.

Position Requirements

Minimum Grade XII education.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Working knowledge of Canada Customs clearance procedures, duty drawbacks.

Working knowledge of carrier base.

Working knowledge of regulatory matters (ITAR, EAR, Canadian Export Controls, and other exporting licensing requirements) preferred.

Member of AIAC or Winnipeg Traffic Club considered an asset.
