**Please Note**: This is a posting for medical-legal report copy-editing. This is not a position for quality control technicians in the manufacturing/food/beverage/pharmaceutical sectors, nor software or any other kind of engineer.
**Job Objective**: Provide timely review of complex independent clinical assessment reports to ensure quality and consistency, QA of independent medical assessment reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer, legal and regulatory requirements.
**What You’ll Bring**
- University Degree
- 1-3 years experience as a medical/scientific editor or in a document editing role.
- A love for proofreading, fact checking with impeccable attention to detail.
- Exceptional MS, Word, Excel, and Google Suite skills.
- Professional interpersonal skills and comfortable speaking to medical professionals.
- Strong multitasking and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high volume, deadline driven environment.
- Knowledge of the SABS (Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule) and The AMA Guides **is preferred.**
- Healthcare Professional designation **an** **asset, but not required**.
**Responsibilities**:
- Review complex IME reports including Bodily injury and Catastrophic impairment determination claims, in a timely and professional manner.
- Check report content for grammar, consistency of content, as well as typographical or compositional errors.
- Performs quality assurance review of reports to ensure accuracy of the information, adherence to referral instructions, and clear, concise, evidence-based rationale to support all recommendations and/or determinations.
- Identify inconsistencies within the report and contact the assessor to obtain clarification as needed.
- Submit reports as per Customer Service Level agreements and in alignment with the Clinical Coordinator Report Review Procedure.
- Communicate professionally, efficiently, and effectively with clients over the phone and through written correspondence to resolve any internal/external queries and assist in the resolution of customer complaints and quality assurance issues as needed.

**Hours**: 8am-5pm/8:30am-5:30pm/9am-6pm
**Breaks**: 1-hour unpaid lunch
