Reporting to the Wholesale Power Marketing Section Head, the Contract Analyst will be responsible for the investigation,
implementation, and administration of bi-lateral contracts, including drafting and supporting negotiations for new and existing
wholesale power customers. The Contract Analyst will be a key contributor to the ongoing development of wholesale power related
policies and procedures that reflect Manitoba Hydro's principles and new governance structure and are consistent with prudent
business practices.

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Negotiate key contract terms for new bi-lateral agreements, supplemental agreements, and annexes with customers.
- Update Energy Market Strategies & Wholesale Power Marketing policies and procedures, and Manitoba Hydro's Approval
- Authority Table for Wholesale Power Transactions and Related Agreements to address the evolving energy landscape.- Manage user access and administer the Contract Information Database (CID), including ongoing CID development with the
- Decision Support Systems Section.- Support internal and external contract requests from Manitoba Hydro Executive, MHEB, the Province of Manitoba, Manitoba
- Hydro Public Utilities Board, and others.- Support Internal Audit responses and the implementation of Internal Audit recommendations.
- Administer the portfolio of master agreements and stand-alone contracts with wholesale power customers.
- Prepare contract reports, evaluations, recommendations and supporting presentations as requested.
- Coordinate contract filings under the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) general blanket permit, including providing support as

confidentiality). Ensure CER processes listed in the WPM contract procedures document are kept current.
- Based on Energy Markets requirements, researching industry standards, and liaising with the Legal Department, provide

recommendations and master agreement provisions for wholesale power transactions.
- Monitor, assess and make recommendations on an ongoing basis, on all wholesale power contracts to ensure compliance

with legal, contractual, regulatory and credit requirements.
- Review and update transaction confirmation templates for Wholesale Power Trading as required.
- Conduct research and recommend procedures and controls in accordance with industry best practices for the review of
- contracts related to the sale or purchase of wholesale power.- Liaise with industry & stakeholders to promote Manitoba Hydro's clean power, which may include assisting with the planning
- and organizing of external stakeholder meetings.- Duties may include; coordinating new market/trading platform registrations, supporting negotiations of wholesale power
- agreements (e.g. exports, imports, border accommodations, NDAs, and other agreements) and budgeting activities.- May be required to support the oversight of Canadian and US regulatory and state governmental affairs as they relate to

Manitoba Hydro's wholesale business, including following and reporting on energy developments in Canada and the US that
may have an impact on Manitoba Hydro's access to wholesale markets.
- May be required to negotiate and sell Manitoba Hydro's surplus renewable energy certificates and work with legal in drafting

**_ Qualifications:_**
- A four-year degree in a related discipline (Commerce, Business Administration or Economics) from an institute of recognized

standing plus a minimum of six years of directly related financial experience.
OR
- A recognized Professional Designation (CPA or CFA) plus a minimum of three years of directly related financial experience.
- Must be willing to complete Standards of Conduct training within two weeks of start date.
- Ability to interact effectively with the marketing, credit, risk and legal staff of Manitoba Hydro and Manitoba Hydro's wholesale
