- Analyzes current systems through review of documentation and consults with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepares or provides input into one or more of the following;
- Feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis or business case
- System designs
- Project estimates
- Implementation planning
- Systems and programs specifications
- Systems and client documentation
- Defines testing requirements
- Troubleshoots production systems

**Project Leadership Responsibilities**
- Leads Joint Application Development sessions
- Leads teams in the development of new systems and enhancements to existing system
- As project leader, will provide both technical and general direction to project staff members.
- Resolves problems related to service requests or production problems
- Participates, as required, in enterprise architecture development. Ensures that all activities adhere to Client’s architectural principles, standards and process (unless an exemption has been granted)
- Develops and enforces policies, standards and procedures for work carried out in this area
- Installs selected vendor software and evaluate new packages

**Qualifications**:

- Three years’ experience in systems analysis, design, and/or programming, of which two (2) years must be using applicable software (Micro Focus, COBOL, JCL, IMS, VSAM, SQL Server, $U, Windows Server)
- Experience should include.NET technologies (such as Visual Basic.NET and C#.NET) within a Microsoft environment.

**Technical Knowledge & Skills**:

- Ability to manage multiple activities within established deadlines
- Good understanding of high level architectural solutions
- information in a clear, concise and understandable manner for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated competency in the following or other applicable technologies and skill sets:

- VB.Net, C#.Net
- Micro Focus Enterprise Developer
- Micro Focus Enterprise Server
- Experience using DevOps
- Visual Studio.NET, 2012, 2019
- COBOL
- JCL
- IMS
- VSAM
- Rumba+ Web
- Zscope
- Powershell
- Orsyp $U
- Windows Server
- Experience with Build Process Automation in both Visual Studio and Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with Agile Methodology

**SQL Server Database Programming (Stored Procedures**)
- Working knowledge of general insurance terminology and practices is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to create Design Specifications based on System Use Cases, User Stories, Business Use Cases, and/or Requirements Documents.
- Demonstrated ability to create a prototype based on System Use Cases, User Stories, Business Use Cases and/or Requirements Documents.
- Demonstrated ability to create System Use Cases or Analysis Documents based on Business Requirements.
