**Your role**

Based in Quebec City, you will report to the station’s Associate Managing Editor (TV/radio/digital) and fulfil the role of Cross-Platform Reporter.

You will develop your own stories covering a wide range of topics, ensuring content adheres to CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices. As a Cross-Platform Reporter, you will work on multiple platforms as needed — digital, radio and television — to provide daily news coverage with clarity, depth, originality and accuracy.

You must also be able to work well in a team and on several stories at once, have strong organizational skills and be an excellent writer.

You must maintain a large network of contacts, pitch story ideas related to Quebec City affairs and provide in-depth and follow-up reporting.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Three (3) years’ journalism experience or equivalent.
- At least two (2) years’ relevant on-air experience (doing live TV and radio hits, producing reports, conducting interviews and writing digital articles).

**Skills**:

- Good general and current-events knowledge.
- Solid command of writing and story research techniques.
- Creative, enterprising and inquisitive approach to fact-gathering.
- Very good knowledge of the greater Quebec City area and its key players.
- Solid command of French (working language): outstanding spelling and grammar skills; advanced oral and writing proficiency.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment while being a resourceful self-starter
- Excellent attitude and work ethic.
- Strong personal initiative and independence in creating digital content.
- Social media knowledge.
- Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
