**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provides information in an accurate, friendly, empathetic, student-focused, and timely manner, while acting as the first point of contact in the Health Sciences department.
- Provides general guidance on program guidelines, policies, and processes as well as advisement to prospective students on entrance requirements, divisional select, admissions processes, educational pathway options and pre-requisites.
- Processes and resolves issues with grade amendments, CAPP reports, grade entry, block registration, course add/drops, substitution/exemption, academic holds, timetable conflicts via STU-VIEW, BANNER/MILLENIUM and A.I.
- Liaises with different departments and stakeholders (i.e., President’s Office, Foundation Office, Awards Office, etc.).
- Troubleshoots any technical issues with the photocopy machines on the 6th and 7th floor by connecting with IT department, Xerox representatives and technicians to help resolve issues.
- Oversees the shredding of the documents for Centre for Health Sciences as well as organizing the collection of books for donations.
- Provides support and training of the front desk duties to new staff (summer students, part-time employees).
- Assists in the maintenance of student and departmental records.
- Collaborates with CSHS Divisional support staff as needed to ensure alignment of policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Educational and Experience Requirements**:

- Three-year diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Business, Medical Office Administration Diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years’ front-line and administrative experience in a busy office environment.
- Experience in the educational sector is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office - in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in Banner and STU-VIEW is an asset.

- Ability to establish priorities and make decisions within prescribed boundaries.
- Solid communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills to liaise with stakeholders of all levels.
- Ability to manage numerous complex and demanding tasks and to meet strict deadlines.
- Discretion, sound judgement, and a commitment to preserving strict confidentiality.
- Excellent planning, coordinating, and time-management skills; collaboration, teamwork, and people skills.
- Ability to lift between 20 kg or 44 lbs (i.e., lifting boxes, groceries, and supplies, setting up tables, etc.).
- Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College’s priorities on diversity and equity.

**Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.**
