Trans-Northern Pipelines Inc. (TNPI) operates regulated pipelines to safely transport the refined petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, aviation, and heating fuel) used by Canadian businesses and consumers every day. These pipelines connect refineries in Edmonton to Calgary, including the Calgary International Airport; and refineries in Nanticoke, Ont., and Montreal to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with lateral pipelines to Ottawa as well as to Pearson International Airport and Pierre-Elliot Trudeau International Airport. Reporting to the Team Lead, Land Affairs, the Land Administrator works with a team of Land professionals in coordinating and obtaining temporary access to land. The Land Administrator assists team members and external parties to achieve company objectives and timelines in support of TNPI Operations & Maintenance Projects (O&MP) through research, auditing documentation, and stakeholder consultation. The Land Administrator works with Landowner Liaisons, Project Managers, Field Services, Environment, Accounting, third-party agencies, and property owners. The Land Administrator will ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and current industry practices in temporary land access, stakeholder consultation and process management. The Land Administrator requires a broad knowledge of Ontario and Quebec land title systems, land rights, permits and agreements, pipeline operations and right-of-way management. The role requires above average communications skills, strong attention to detail, demonstrable time management skills and easily adapt to a highly dynamic work environment.

**OEMS**

This position is accountable for ensuring that all aspects of work comply with safe work practices, all applicable codes, standards, regulatory requirements and TNPI’s Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS).

**Security, Environment and Health & Safety**

This position performs their job effectively safely, securely, and in a manner protective of the environment, and complies with TNPI Safety and Environmental Absolutes.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Land Administration
- Conduct various land administration duties for publicly and privately-owned land relating to pipeline surveying and construction, and maintenance activities
- Assist title review to confirm ownership, easement rights, and to identify issues pertaining to granting of temporary land rights - Ensure that documentation is produced accurately and in a timely manner according to project schedules, applicable company guidelines, along with legal and regulatory requirements
- Reviewing, drafting, and auditing legal documents related to access, temporary workspace, third-party permitting, and landowner compensation - Process cheque requests for landowner payments and permitting
- Prepare documents for signature by Team Lead, Land Affairs - Provide administrative oversight to ensure TNPI temporary land rights and post construction management are conducted based on contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Provide guidance, oversight, and support to Land service providers (internal and external resources), for obtaining temporary rights to carry out important operation and maintenance activities on or around Trans-Northern Pipelines Inc.’s assets
- In collaboration with Team Lead, Land Affairs identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency and cost effectiveness
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

**Project Coordination**
- Support Project Engineering, Pipeline Integrity, Environment, and Field Services to identify and/or obtain required permits and/or land rights for various projects
- Prepare and/or complete Landowner/Stakeholder notifications for various TNPI projects
- Ensure that project schedules are maintained through acquisition of required agreements, permits and other required documentation
- With support of Land Liaisons, provide permit and acquisition status at regular team meetings, highlighting any potential risks
