**Job Description**:
The Business Process Optimization Lead role is responsible for several key engagements across Shopify’s merchant facing teams. In this role you will focus on leading a high performing team to own and execute on a broad portfolio of optimization efforts across Shopify’s revenue, support, and customer success teams. Specifically, you will focus on identifying opportunity areas across the business, leading the development of solutions to optimize the process area, and, and ensuring sustainable impact delivery.

**Responsibilities**

**Team Leadership**:Build and manage a team of high impact individuals who contribute to Shopify's merchant facing team strategy, goal setting, and delivery.

**Stakeholder Management**:Nurture strong relationships with internal partners, ensuring constant alignment of priorities. Effectively navigate the organization to unblock challenges, solicit support and keep process improvements moving forward.

**Process Design and Optimization**:Identify critical business process enhancement opportunities, and mobilize teams to problem solve, anticipate bottlenecks, explore contingencies, support resource allocation, and provide escalation management throughout project execution. Actively evolve processes for our internal teams to collaborate and effectively engage with merchants

**Landing Change**:Ensure that teams are made aware of programs and process changes well in advance, and articulated clearly with value and impact. Ensure the right tools, content, training and communications are in place to enable key changes for the organization.

**Reporting and Data**:Design and build robust performance reporting to measure critical activities and outcomes. Work closely with Shopify’s Data team and business leaders to build dashboards that support deeper understanding of business trends, risks and opportunities.

**Tooling**:Lead efforts in partnership with internal stakeholders to develop optimizations for how critical tools and product changes can be used to automate or eliminate low value activities.

**Qualifications**:

- 6+ years experience in process management, process execution, process optimization, or related role
- 2+ years experience leading teams, preferably at a SaaS company. Ideally your people leadership will be with teams focused on process management, execution, optimization, or related.
- Lean, Business Process Management Professional, Change Management (e.g., Prosci), Six Sigma, and/or Agile certifications.
- Strong analytical skills. You use qualitative and quantitative evaluation of information and data to draw out insights & identify root causes, as well as to shape project plans, process optimization opportunities, etc.
- Ability to think in systems. You grasp the impact one change might have on another, and can design sustainable solutions & feedback loops that ensure stakeholders receive required information when they need it
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent
