Nepean, Canada MGIS Full time

We are seeking motivated Intermediate Data Entry Clerks. The primary focus will be to support a large-scale digitization initiative aimed at clearing a significant backlog of military personnel files. This opportunity requires contractors who are detail-oriented and physically capable of lifting and handling boxes of documents.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare, organize, and manage documents for scanning by removing staples, counting pages, discarding unnecessary materials, and transcribing information onto log sheets.
- Lift and carry document boxes (weighing up to 30 pounds) between the storage room and work area.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and relevant policies.
- Complete log sheets and report progress to supervisors.
- Prepare at least six boxes per week, with each box containing 2,000 to 2,500 sheets of paper.
- All tasks must be completed onsite.

**Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook for tracking and managing data.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Previous experience in data entry, clerical work, or document preparation is preferred.
- Must be capable of working in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment.
- Flexibility to work from 0800 to 1600 or alternate hours (1500 to 2200) if required.

**Requirements**:

- Must hold a valid Reliability Status at the time of bid submission as you will be handling Protected information.
- Onsite presence is mandatory. No remote work is permitted.
