ATCO Electric’s Climate Adaptation and Reliability Team (CAR) is to reshape the future of utility resilience and reliability through fortifying our systems against the escalating impacts of climate change. In response to unprecedented challenges like wildfires and extreme cold events, our mission is clear: to lead the industry in climate resilience while ensuring uninterrupted, affordable energy for our customers. Our dynamic team will play a pivotal role in the design and construction of climate-resistant assets, elevating grid resilience, and implementing cutting-edge emergency management programs. By unifying existing climate strategies and forging new pathways, we aim to elevate ATCO Electric into the top tier of utility reliability nationwide.

The Business Resilience and Engagement group within the CAR team has an exciting opportunity for one (1) Supervisor to lead the Business Resilience Engagement team members. Working closely with the Emergency Management and Business Resilience (EMBR) team to deliver and maintain activities that support ATCO Electric’s vision to maintain leading edge grid resilience and preparedness for Climate related events.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Resilience and Engagement, this position plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to engage and build relationships across Alberta. This role focuses on fostering meaningful connections, promoting collaboration, and facilitating two-way communication between ATCO and multiple diverse stakeholders, with a focus on meeting the Climate Adaptation and Reliability program goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develops and executes a comprehensive community and stakeholder engagement strategy that aligns with the Climate Adaptation and Reliability team goals.
- Identifies key stakeholders and creates targeted plans to engage and involve them in organizational activities.
- Continuously assesses and refines the engagement strategies based on feedback and evolving stakeholder needs.
- Develop and maintain strong and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifies opportunities for partnership and collaboration and works with various departments to identify engagement priorities.
- Advocates for the various stakeholder’s needs and concerns within the organization, ensuring their voices are represented.
- Supports community-led initiatives and projects by providing resources, guidance, and networking opportunities.
- Plans and organizes community events, workshops, and forums to encourage community participation and gather feedback.
- Develops and implements outreach initiatives to promote ATCO Electric Climate Adaptation and Reliability team innovations to the various stakeholders.
- Engages with industry partners to align climate strategies to increase overall resilience.
- Collaborates with regulatory bodies as required.
- Prepares reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Review notification and consultation material prior to issuance to stakeholders and ensure quality messaging.
- Contribute to process and tools improvements - representing the CAR team while participating in or leading initiatives.
- Provides leadership to the team members, includes meeting with direct reports to discuss progress, provide feedback, and set priorities, performance management and guiding growth and development.
- Developing a high-performance workforce; supervises, coaches and mentors’ direct reports; builds development plans with each team member and identifies related training opportunities; provides direction or decisions on complex or challenging issues where necessary.
- Managing relationships; ensures a customer-focused work environment is created and sustained; ensures team is appropriately connected with peers within and external to ATCO.
