**Brief Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Report to the MN-S Director of Environment
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative approaches to climate change adaptation and mitigation within a Métis cultural context.
- Provide guidance and support to organizations in their climate change related proposal initiatives.
- Responsible for full budget take-up of the funding to address climate change, including budgeting, expenses, variance reporting, and program compliance.
- As a member of the Lands and Environment team, develop and set strategic goals and objectives.
- Prepare reports which may include monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on various Environment programming to various internal and Canadian government Ministries.
- Prepare and present sub-project executive summaries as needed/requested.
- Create and review sub-project documentation and coordination of service delivery to ensure compliance with funding directives and guidelines.
- Provide financial and activity monitoring of sub-projects and provide ongoing supports ensure successful project delivery and administration.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with environment and service providers across the province.
- Other duties/responsibilities as determined by the Director of Environment

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a management role with oversight and responsibility for direct reports
- Recognized degree or diploma in or related to business administration, ecology, sustainability, engineering, or related fields.
- Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel, and PowerPoint.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Knowledge of Métis culture.
- Knowledge of the structure and policies of federal, provincial and MN-S.
- Knowledge of strategic and operational planning.
- Budgeting skills, projection, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of long-term forecasting needs and trends which contribute to the vision and strategy development.
- Ability to support others and work collaboratively in sharing resource to achieve common goals.
- Strong time-management skills along with the ability to prioritize daily tasks, organizational skills, and effective decision-making abilities.
- Skills in general administrative functions, including accurate typing, filing, ordering office supplies, maintaining office supplies and equipment.
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills
- Sound problem solving and decision-making skills as well as attention to detail.
- Interpersonal skills and an ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy in difficult situations.
- Embrace challenges and areas of rapid growth.
- Resiliency in dealing with changing schedules, timelines, and financial priorities.
- Adaptive to environmental or governmental priority shifts.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access reliable transportation
- Must undergo a Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector
- Travel and working outside of normal business hours (including weekends) may be required 2-3x per month.
- All applicants must be able to work remotely in a secure location maintaining client confidentiality.
