**Program Manager**:
**Primary Purpose**: The Program Manager, Usask Continuing Pharmacy Education (Usask CPE), is responsible for the strategic oversight of the development, execution, and updates of programs, courses, and projects. This includes management of USask CPE team members. The Manager of Program Development is also responsible for supporting the USask CPE strategic priorities, accreditation, and policy creation.

**Nature of Work**: USask CPE is based out of the University of Saskatchewan, College of Pharmacy and Nutrition. We develop, implement, support, and evaluate continuing education and continuing professional development opportunities for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and healthcare professionals. USask CPE collaborates on continuing education courses with other health organizations and partners nationally.

**Typical Duties or Accountabilities**:

- Manage the coordination, implementation and updates of learning activities, workshops, events, programs/courses, and presentations for pharmacy professionals and broader healthcare professionals.
- Supervise USask CPE Staff.
- Develop and review USask CPE policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals who are utilizing USask CPE materials.
- Possess the functional expertise required to enhance the quality of patient care through education.
- Remain at the forefront of pharmacy practice and healthcare system changes and have a strong understanding of related issues.
- Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director

**Qualifications**
**Education**: A first professional degree in Pharmacy (e.g. Bachelor’s degree or PharmD).

**Licenses**: The successful applicant must be licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice pharmacy in Saskatchewan

**Experience**: At least 7 years of pharmacy practice experience. Previous supervision and leadership/management experience considered an asset.

**Skills**:Demonstrated understanding of current pharmacy practice; demonstrated ability to lead people; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; effective time management and organizational skills; progressive thinking; self-motivation; strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively embrace change and problem-solve in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; familiarity with Microsoft Office and Canvas an asset.
