**Victoria Kids **is now hiring a dynamic Teacher to join our fun and exciting 3-5 preschool program. This position is for a one on one for a child with cerebral palsy as well as to be in ratio when needed.

**What we do**

We are a child care centre located in Colwood. We are dedicated to educating each and every student at our facility in a manner that is unique and preparing them for success in at every stage in our program. We are looking for a Specail Needs Educator who is energetic, enthusiastic, have a passion for teaching and a desire to engage students of all ages at the centre.

**Responsibilities**:
**Assess the needs of each student and prepare lesson plans based on curriculum**
- Maintain classroom routines and procedures
- Follow and implement the one on one child's care plan
- Schedule and attend meetings with the child's OT and other specailists that come to the centre
- Administer medication to the one on one child
- Develop an effective lesson plan for curriculum that is appropriate and meets the needs of the children, (with the classroom educators) as well as the one on one child
- Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
- Communicate with parents about student progress and as needed
- Attend required trainings and educational events
- Knowledge in VIHA regulations
- Able to lift 30-60 lbs

**Qualifications**:

- BC ECE/SN certification
- First aid
- Clear criminal record check
- References
- Experience working with children preferred.

**Only residence living in Victoria BC will be accepted**

**Salary**: $32.00-$34.00 per hour
