**Summary**: As the Manager of Credit Underwriting, you will provide value to Vancouver-based Accord’s Small Business Finance group by analyzing financial statements, collateral reports, borrowing base certificates, and other relevant information. In addition, you will be responsible for documenting, presenting, and authorizing (within personal credit limit) transactions. The role involves interaction with clients and partners within Accord Financial Corp., ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requests.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Analyze potential client credit requests, draft, and present Credit Approval Request Memorandums in close coordination with senior leadership and other team members.
- Negotiate deal structures with origination partners, both internal and external, consistent with the credit framework.
- Participate as an active member of the business unit credit team, perform due diligence and underwriting of prospective clients.
- Responsible for the adjudication of credit files within your limit.
- Monitor and review client financial and collateral reporting.
- Collect and review client borrowing bases.
- Spread and analyze financial statements with a focus on prior-period trends, budget and peer groups.
- Confirm compliance with financial covenants.
- Assess internal risk ratings; recommend updates as warranted.
- Maintain responsibility for the completion and accuracy of the Monthly Portfolio Review reports, regulatory reporting, and other information requests.
- Contribute to policy and process development pertinent to the revolving loan product.
- Prepare and assist other portfolio reports as required.

**Education / Experience Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, accounting or related field required
- Minimum of 3- 5 years of small business banking or lending experience
- Experience with revolving lines of credit
- Experience with score-based underwriting products
- Familiarity with asset-based lending models
- Ability to review and analyze consumer and commercial credit reports.
- Ability to review and analyze collateral reports and asset appraisals.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding and familiarity with various types of financial statements and financial audit reports

**Experience**: Required
- 5 year(s): Minimum of 3- 5 years of small business banking or lending experience

**Education**: Required
- Bachelor's degree or better in Finance or related field
