**Job Overview**:
**Reporting to the Festival Manager, the Festival Event Staff is responsible for collaborating with the festival team to assemble the Festival area for our events. As a Festival Event Staff, you will play a vital role in the execution of a successful event through the set up, event days, and tear down.**
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Unload and organize the contents of the Festival Trailer within base camp
- Coordinate with the Festival Manager the layout of the festival to ensure the placement of branding, tents, fencing, ect.
- Supervise and lead the assembly of tents
- Maintain high tempo of productivity and efficiency among staff with forward insight into tasks vital to the completion of festival
- Manage volunteers and support staff in an efficient and deliberate manner through delegation of tasks
- Create zone specific fence lines
- Be available to deliver supplies and volunteers to areas of need during race days
- Be able to maneuver through festival on race day with an understanding of what needs to be done at varying times (volunteer switchover, staff breaks, sponsorships needs, directing volunteers to areas of need)
- Gather, clean, organize and inventory all branding at the conclusion of the race, then return to designated storage locations
- Lead volunteers and support staff in the disassembling and storage of all tents
- Operate and load all festival materials back into the festival trailer after being provided a load plan by the Festival Manager
- Load/unload trailers using heavy equipment.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven leadership and management abilities
- Proven success in a rapidly changing, high operational tempo work environment.
- Have a proven attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Be proficient with the entire Microsoft Office Suite and cloud based computing software packages (Google Drive, Excel, etc).
- Have experience working in a high pace environment
- Possess a valid driver’s license without restrictions; clean driving record.
**Requirements**:
- Be comfortable traveling for periods of time, amounting to two weeks at a time
- Be prepared and comfortable with working outside in austere weather
- Be physically capable of working long hours 11+ days consecutively
- Have experience operating machinery, or be willing to learn
- Work in poor weather, long hours, and fast-paced challenging conditions.
- Willingness and ability to travel 12+ days at a time with 100% travel.
- Frequently works 11+ hour days outdoors, in adverse conditions for extended periods of time.
- Demonstrate full range of movement including but not limited to lifting, standing, bending, reaching, twisting, and crawling.
- Occasionally lifts, pushes, pulls, and moves equipment and material weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally climb ladders and work off elevated surfaces as well as climb up onto and down from equipment.
