**Job Summary**: This position is funded through Ontario’s Job Creation Partnerships (see more details below). The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) is one of the leading events of its kind in the world. It's an annual five-day event with a total attendance of 28,000 attracting artists, producers, students and animation fans from around the world. The OIAF Festival Coordinator will assist the Festivals Manager with general festival logistics, box office and venue preparation, organizing publications materials, and coordinating the European Union Film Festival (EUFF). This position involves interdepartmental coordination, customer service, supervising staff and volunteers, troubleshooting tech, and proofing print materials.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist Festivals Manager and Managing Director with general festival logistics.
- Train and supervise box office staff during the festival.
- Prepare box office and venue kits, including setting up computers and devices.
- Assist Festivals Manager and Designer to organize and proof publication materials.
- Assist Managing Director with financial reporting and bookkeeping.
- Assist Festivals Manager in coordinating the EUFF.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Excellent communication with colleagues and customers (verbal and written)
- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills
- Good organizational skills and initiative
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience working with cash, sales, and customer service
- Experience training and supervising volunteers or staff is an asset
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Strong computer skills: the ability to quickly learn new programs/platforms and to take the initiative to troubleshoot

**NOTE 1**: Those registered in full-time academic studies are not eligible to be considered.

**Remuneration**:
$662 (gross) per week for 32 hours / $20.6875 per hour provided by the Province of Ontario.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $20.69 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ottawa, ON K1N 6Z9
