**Job Summary**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Controller to join our team. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager the Inventory & Logistics Controller will supervise shipping area for customer shipments, product returns, and storage of containers, pallets and packaging. Supervise receiving of all incoming materials and packaging consumables. Assists in directing trucking as needed and provides expedite coverage as required. Direct all staff and manages shift overtime coverage. Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.

**Responsibilities**

1. Shipping and Receiving Department operation

2. Dispatching of trucks

3. Internal lift truck drivers’ instruction

4. Maintain flow of material to outside processors

5. All prepaid trucking

6. All emergency shipments

7. Coordinate the flow and proper handling of material and products through the plant.

8. Monitor inventory vs Customer requirements and communicate any issues minimum 24 hours prior to shipment"

9. Ensure the equipment is appropriately maintained and the operators are trained in the safe operation of that equipment.

10. Schedule Trucking for interplant product moves

11. Prioritise / maintain routings for outside services monitoring efficiencies of these daily runs.

12. Arrange for expedited shipments, quotes on charges and complete all associated documentation.

13. Coordinated all truck and trailer maintenance activities.

14. Monitor and schedule all departmental overtime, complete all associated documentations and approvals as per company policies.

15. Establish and maintain production lift truck activities including manpower needs, outside yard maintenance and material routes.

16. Participate in creating and implementing a formal cycle counting process for all production inventories.

17. Maintain the container fleets both GMG and customer owned, storing in segregated areas so that packaging can be easily located, assessed and counted.

18. Re-establish and maintain a robust receiving process for all incoming materials

**Requirements**:

- College diploma in related discipline
- 5+ years experience in computerized, high-volume shipping environment
- Experience with ERP, Microsoft tools,
- Previous supervisory experience an asset
- Familiarity with BOLs and customs paperwork
