We are currently looking for a responsible, charismatic and hardworking individual who could fill in a role as an Procurement Specialist who can work independently and take initiative while managing multiple jobs.

This would involve the implementation, roll out & fine-tuning of our construction & estimation & construction management ERP Software. Additionally, it would involve preparing cost accounting, budgeting per job, ongoing management of models and conducting cost reporting.

**Job Overview**:
The Procurement Specialist will assist with having our budgeting, purchasing & plan review processes running. This would include a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

- Prepare and analyze budgets for model houses
- Discuss with various trades at every scope to obtain pricing and negotiate lower costs
- Review plans and issue purchase orders to various trades at each scope to ensure site team has all purchase orders issued
- Monitor and manage the purchasing ERP suite for model and item costs, as well as push all purchase orders to respective suppliers and scheduling software
- Assist in managing the scheduling software suite from the office to ensure field team has what is needed
- Prepare and complete take offs from residential blueprints
- Plan review of residential blueprints to ensure spec level is kept
- Implementation of software and processes to ensure efficiencies are kept through the ERP software suites
- Source new suppliers & materials through business networking
- Assist with tendering process from start to finish
- Create project pro-formas, projected margin statements and feasibility assessments
- Develop and foster strong supplier relationships
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of production schedules & budgets for construction
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Effective time management skills, top-notch analytical skills and ability to prioritize to meet multiple deadlines
- Working knowledge of the Residential Construction Industry
- Excellent with technology & in-depth experience with MS Office, Outlook and Excel & Spreadsheets
- Ability to review architectural blue prints and prepare take-off measurements and prepare cost budgeting reports
- Works well in a team or independently
- Team attitude and willingness to take on jobs
- Technologically savvy
- Willingness to learn
- Negotiation skills are an asset especially when discussing with third party trades and contractors
- Experience with project planning, cost management and a desire to learn about project management concepts
- Working knowledge of Homefront ERP Suite and BuildPro scheduling software will be an asset
- A background in accounting or finance will be an asset, especially a Post-Secondary Degree, and/or a CET in the respective field of purchasing, estimation and/or construction accounting
- Experience as a Residential Purchaser or Estimator is an asset
