**Position**

Habitat for Humanity Edmonton is seeking a full-time Procurement Specialist.

The Procurement Specialist is an integrated member of the Donations & Distribution department, working collaboratively to deliver on the team’s goals and initiatives. The Procurement Specialist actively seeks and procures products, from the corporate and small business sectors, to support ReStores operated by HFHE. The Procurement Specialist is also responsible for supporting the execution of other projects focused on driving revenue for HFHE.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- The Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading the important work of building and maintaining relationships with the business community to support ongoing donation and contribution of gifts-in-kind (GIK) of furniture, appliances, flooring, and home improvement materials to the Edmonton Area ReStores.
- The position is similar to an outside sales position with a focus on “selling” the service that HFHE ReStore can provide.
- Demonstrates excellence, authenticity, and reliability in communicating HFHE mission and purpose; understands and can effectively articulate Habitat for Humanity’s core model and mission to potential partners and donors.
- Acquires new donors by implementing best-practice sales or moves-management relationship-based methods and processes for prospect development, conversion, stewardship, and retention.
- Comfort, enthusiasm, interest, and ability to perform a role that is highly external facing and inherently focused on building and maintaining positive external relationships.
- Utilize and maintain accurate records on our CRM software when it is available.
- Daily travel will be required within the Edmonton Area, with occasional planned travel to other communities of northern and central Alberta.
- Liaise with Donations &Distribution Manager weekly to discuss your weekly schedule, which donors you will approach, timelines, etc.
- Other special projects as assigned.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:
Technical Competencies
- 2-3 years of experience in outside sales or lead generation role required.
- Demonstrate proven record of results and accomplishment of cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience acquiring Gift-In-Kind donations is an asset.
- Strong familiarity with Striven or a comparable CRM platform is considered an asset.
- Possess strong written communication skills.
- Possess polite, business telephone etiquette.
- Awareness that costs incurred are commensurate with procurement results.
- Have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Possess a valid Alberta Class 5 Operator’s (driver’s) License with a clean 3 year driver’s abstract.
- Must possess reliable transportation.
