**Responsibilities**:

- Serve as an integral Quality Assurance team member, interact/ communicate cross-functionally to ensure business objectives are aligned, and ensure that the organization meets its quality, regulatory and business objectives.
- Be a collaborative and inclusive leader who can inspire and empower others.
- Ensure proper performance of QA/QC department at Carmel.
- Review, collect and report all the batch records for 100 % accuracy and completeness before QAP’s final review and approval for sale. Notify any discrepancies within 24 hours to QAP and VP of QA and Operations.
- Ensure all NCRs are reported within one business day to QAP and are fully documented. Any assigned duties related to the action plan must be completed within the stipulated time agreed with QAP.
- Assist QAP with QMS, Inventory Management, Sanitation and other QA programs.
- Assist in investigating complaints and advise about recalls initiation, if required.
- Assist QAP with process development and SOP revisions, including developing new SOPs.
- Label reviews and approvals must be conducted with 100 % accuracy and released to the production team as per the schedule.
- Provide required support and supervise proper performance of QA/QC technicians.
- Communicate information with production planner related to testing times and cannabinoid or terpenes content and provide advise if required.
- Take active part in all federal, provincial, government audits and 3rd party inspections.
- Perform quality control activities at Carmel: sampling, testing, sanitation verifications, communications with labs.
- Manage quality systems at Carmel: SOPs, change controls, CAPA, deviations, forms and logs, documentation storage and record keeping.
- Participate in risk assessments and deviations investigations.
- Draft, train, and ensure proper implementation of new SOPs and Preventative Control Plans for all types of processes and products as required.
- Manage vendor qualification and material assessment processes at Carmel.
- Always ensure regulatory compliance of Carmel.

As A/QAP, when approved:

- Perform all duties of active QAP at her absence.
- Review and release all in-process production documentation based on established checklists and processes, including but not limited to:

- bulk dried flower lots, from propagation to harvest and trimming,
- bulk product weight verification for incoming lots,
- sorting and blending of bulk lots,
- hash production,
- temple balls production,
- milling of bulk cannabis,
- rolling (portioning) of milled cannabis,
- infusion of milled cannabis, if performed,
- sampling,
- lab test results and in-process checks,
- labelling,
- to review and release finished product production records, if required,
- to investigate complaints;
- to review and approve deviations from processes and assess risks to process and product.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
