Trillium Health Partners (THP) is one of the largest community-based acute care facilities in Canada. The Endoscopy Department is a high activity, high volume unit. The Endoscopes that are being used are fragile medical devices and the skills required to prevent damage to the equipment, requires the assistant to be meticulous and diligent in their practice. They must follow IPAC guidelines/principles and vendor appropriate cleaning practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
**Qualifications**:
- Grade 12 education, or equivalent
- Medical terminology an asset
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Minimum one year hospital work experience preferred
- Recent experience with preparation of medical supplies and equipment in a patient care environment preferred
- Experience working in an endoscopy environment preferred
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
