**Lakeshore Animal Health Partners **in Mississauga, ON, Canada is seeking a highly organized and detail oriented individual to coordinate our **Anesthesia **department.

**About the role**
- You will be exposed to oncology, internal medicine, surgery, neurology, emergency and critical care departments as part of our integrated care model. In addition, you will experience advanced nursing techniques and other specialty procedures not routinely performed in regular practice._
- Registered Veterinary Technician with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (asset)
- Experience in Surgery and Anesthesia (required)

**Duties and responsibilities**:
**_In partnership with the Anesthesiologist, the duties and responsibilities of the Anesthesia Co-ordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:_**
- Organizing anesthesia cases for the entire hospital including
- Scheduling case order
- Assigning staff and resources to specific cases
- Finding resources needed by anethesiologist or anesthesia RVTs
- Assists with anesthia preparation, set up and induction
- Communication with various staff members and departments about anesthesia department status
- Transports anesthetized patients/anesthetic machine/patient table from Induction area to MRI, CT, endoscopy, operating room as needed
- Strong emphasis on patient care
- Performs basic laboratory work
- Daily stocking, cleaning and organizing of induction and recovery areas.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Other duties as assigned

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
