**Role and Responsibilities**

**Position Overview**:
The FAcT Program Coordinator (PC) is entirely dedicated to the FAcT Program and, in the context of FAcT at CAE, holds a key role where s/he is expected to identify and narrow down potential solutions to ensure the program continuously moves forward in accordance with the program strategy and objectives. The PC focuses exclusively on the future of the project, in particular the next 3-6 months. This enables the PC to draw the attention of the executing team to the challenges ahead so that they can best position themselves to deliver on commitments. The PC will also guide the IPT1 interactions so that they efficiently achieve the program’s key milestones together.

The **FAcT Program Coordinator** will be expected to:

- In direct support of the Program Leadership,
- Act as the main point of contact for Canada, SkyAlyne and CAE related to the integration of various plans into the FAcT CAE IMS and the interface between CAE’s and the Prime’s Schedules. Therefore, the PC must have an expert-level knowledge of the WBS, IMP, IMS, program scheduling processes (plan, monitor, control), critical path analysis, critical chain analysis, what-if scenarios and EVMS.
- Act as a Change Management leader internally to assess impacts, communicate and obtain approvals for proposed program changes that affect any part of the CAE team (Eng, Facilities, MFG, GSS, etc) and therefore play a key role in CAE’s CCB for FAcT.
- In collaboration with the 9 IPTs1 and mainly with the Project Managers, TSE Leads and Technical Integration Leader,
- Supervise the progression of activities in the IMS and into the scheduling software
- (using the rolling wave technique when required) Support the detailed planning of on-going activities
- Monitor/update milestones achievements within the CAE internal systems
- Champion what-if scenarios and impact analysis on the schedule/plans to mitigate risks
- Review resource assignments and identify gaps
- Plan the integration of subcontractor workshares into the CAE plan
- In collaboration with the Planners, PCOs, Financial Analysts and PMO team,
- Develop and maintain a strong interface to integrate and transfer data from the CAE IMS into the SkyAlyne IMS while ensuring validity and integrity of the data transferred
- Develop and maintain a strong interface to integrate and transfer data from the CAE Risks & Opportunities Register into SkyAlyne’s equivalent while ensuring validity and integrity of the data transferred
- Responsible for effecting changes, including progressions, to the Schedule
- Ensure that all required data from the organization are properly updated to support EVMS from a bottom-up perspective
- Manage WBS, including changes
- Manage milestones tracking (FRR, CCO, baselining)
- Ensure best industry processes and tools are used to support the FAcT program
- Participate in the analysis of the team’s performance with a view of better informing the near-future expectations
- Support financial forecasting of the program within CAE as well as the potential impact of changes under review
- Maintain an in-depth program knowledge allowing the incumbent to,
- communicate the short & longer term schedule objectives of the program, holding regular information session for all stakeholders
- provide counsel to the executing Project Managers on the evolution of the risk profile of their workshare
- foster consistency in program level decision-making by helping decision makers to better understand the context and the impact of their decisions

1on FAcT the Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) are:

- Ground Based Training System (GBTS) Basic Flight Training;
- GBTS Advanced Flight Training (AFT)-Fixed Wing / Jet;
- GBTS AFT-Rotary Wing;
- GBTS AFT-Multi-Engine;
- GBTS for Air Combat Systems Officers and Airborne Electronic Sensors Operators;
- Common Core;
- Training Solution / Courseware;
- In-Service Support (ISS) Set-up FTO (Flight Training Operations);
- ISS Set-up AMO (Acceptable Maintenance Organization).

**Essential Qualifications**:

- University degree
- PMP certified
- Extensive CAE and/or Defence & Security experience preferred
- Well organized with strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to prevent and resolve program crises and challenges
- Experience with MS Project and Planisware; Primavera experience would be an asset
- Good communication skills and ability to present complex scenarios to a wide range of audiences in both English and French
- Able to work collaboratively across organizations
- Results-oriented with strong attention to details
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office tools
