We are looking to enhance our team by welcoming a **Human Resources Leader, **reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, who was recently honored as an Ontario Finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year program.
This position will be a key player in our rapidly growing business and will work closely with a cross-functional team supporting our business and the execution of our people strategy and multiple people-related initiatives.
This position is unique in the breadth it offers - encompassing a growing team of office and salaried staff, a unionized workforce in our manufacturing operations, and a significant temporary staffing presence. We expect all these areas to expand in the coming months and years.
**The Role**:
- **Strategy**:_
**- **Develop, lead and implement the human capital strategy and plan that aligns with the organization's vision, mission, and goals.
**- **Assess and track the effectiveness and impact of the talent strategy and plan, adjusting as necessary.
**- **Advocate for the HR function and the employee perspective, actively contributing to organizational decision-making and problem-solving.
**- **Provide project leadership and change management for people-related initiatives.
**- **Collaborate and communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders, such as senior management, line managers, employees, vendors, consultants, and regulators.
- **Employee Engagement**:_
**- **Be our culture leader and build an environment that encourages high performance, team engagement, and retention of talent.
**- **Design and execute the onboarding and orientation program, as well as the employee engagement and recognition initiatives, along with the succession planning and career development programs.
**- **Work closely with our social committee on engagement events.
**- **Manage our engagement surveys and related action items.
**- **Monitor and analyze the employee turnover and retention rates, and devise strategies to improve employee satisfaction and loyalty.
- **Talent Acquisition**:_
**- **Be instrumental in talent recruitment by leading and actively participating in the hiring process across the organization.
- Performance Management, Learning & Development:_
**- **Design, execute, and oversee performance management programs.
**- **Develop and maintain effective learning and development programs.
- **Health & Safety**:_
**- **Partner with the Health & Safety representative and Joint Health & Safety Committee to be champions of workplace Health & Safety.
- **Governance & Benefits**:_
**- **Take the lead in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
**- **Educate and advise management and staff on HR policies and procedures and resolve any HR-related inquiries or concerns.
**- **Work with Finance to administer the compensation and benefits programs.
**- **Handle employee relations issues end to end: establish a strong HR presence and be the first point of contact for all HR related matters with unionized and non-unionized employees.
- **HR Analytics, Trends and Technology**:_
**- **Conduct HR audits, analyze HR data, identify needs and gaps, and recommend HR solutions and initiatives.
**- **Ensure the security and accuracy of HR data and records while generating and presenting HR reports and dashboards.
**- **Leverage and optimize HR technology and innovations to enhances the HR function and the employee experience (e.g., HR information system (HRIS), applicant tracking system (ATS), learning management system (LMS), and the employee self-service portal).
**- **Stay updated on the latest HR trends and best practices, adopting new HR tools and methods as appropriate.
